Frequently Asked Questions
Where does Winners Mobile Notary travel?
We serve all of Northern Virginia — Fairfax, Prince William, Loudoun and Arlington counties, the City of Alexandria and the Fredericksburg area, covering Woodbridge, Manassas, Ashburn, Fairfax, Vienna, Reston, McLean, Herndon and surrounding communities. We come to homes, offices, hospitals, care facilities and public meeting spots.
What do I need to have ready for a notarization?
Three things: the complete, unsigned document (don’t sign before we arrive); a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license, passport or military ID; and the signer present, willing and aware of what they’re signing. If witnesses are required, tell us when you book and we can help arrange them.
How much does a mobile notary cost?
Virginia caps the notarization fee at $10 per notarial act ($25 for electronic and remote online notarizations). On top of the state-capped fee we charge a flat travel fee based on your location and timing, quoted upfront when you book — no surprises. Loan signings are a single flat package rate. See our Pricing page for details.
Can you notarize at a hospital or nursing home?
Yes — bedside signings are one of our most-requested services. The signer must have valid ID, be awake and lucid, and sign willingly. Call us before booking and we’ll walk through a quick checklist so the visit succeeds the first time. Timing matters when medication schedules affect alertness.
Do you provide witnesses?
With advance notice we can usually help arrange the witnesses many estate documents require — some documents need two. Witnesses must be adults who aren’t named in the document. Mention witnesses when you book so the signing happens in one sitting.
What can't a notary do?
A notary is not an attorney. We can’t give legal advice, tell you what document you need, or explain what a document means for your situation. We also can’t notarize an incomplete document, notarize without the signer present (outside Virginia’s remote online rules), or proceed if the signer lacks proper ID or appears unwilling or unaware.
What is a loan signing agent?
A loan signing agent is a notary with specialized training in mortgage document packages. We’re NNA-certified and background-screened, and we walk borrowers through the package page by page, catch missed signatures and initials, and return documents to the title company on deadline.
What is remote online notarization (RON)?
Virginia pioneered remote online notarization: a secure audio-video session where your identity is verified electronically and the document is signed and sealed digitally. It’s ideal when signers are traveling, deployed or out of state. First confirm the receiving party accepts a remotely notarized document — most do, some don’t.
How fast can you get here?
Same-day service is usually available, and in our Woodbridge home area we can often arrive within the hour. We book appointments from 8 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week — with genuine emergencies handled case by case.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, all major cards, Zelle and Venmo at the appointment, and invoicing for title companies, law firms and business accounts.
